Writeup from Jim:
After twice postponing for weather, the nineteen riders took advantage of the excellent weekend weather to do a leisurely survey of what is probably the flattest route from downtown to UVic, with a side trip along Haultain Street and Dean Avenue to see a bit of Bowker Creek that is still an open stream. Special thanks to Duncan for coming out and enlightening us on some of the aspects of the Bowker Creek Initiative (http://www.bowkercreekinitiative.ca/) and the Shelbourne Corridor. We made several stops along the way to discuss route options and note where some GVCC advocacy might help, then returned to Selkirk Station via the Lochside and Galloping Goose trails.

If you can map out a route from the headwaters to wherever Bowker reaches the sea (Willows Beach I believe?) that follows the creek as closely as possible, we would be happy to do a Bowker 2.0 ride later in the year.
